![]() These can be provided by a multidisciplinary health and social care team at in-patient, out-patient, day service, or home locations. Hospices deliver a range of free-at-the-point-of-access generalist and specialist palliative services that can provide pain and symptom control, end-of-life care, and/or respite services. Hospices in the UK are a heterogeneous group of independently funded charities with government funding averaging 35% (range 20–50%) of hospices expenditure. physical, psychological, social and spiritual) or how these needs are communicated to general practitioners. Furthermore, there is limited knowledge on what palliative care needs are associated with patients discharged from hospice-based care (e.g. Little is known about the content of communication at the time of discharge from hospice-based specialist palliative care services into community and primary care. National and international research indicates that communication issues are prevalent during care transitions, which can lead to adverse events such as readmissions and other consequences such as “inefficient use of time”. Efficient and effective cross-boundary communication is key, particularly as care transitions can risk patient safety. Hospice specialist care supports those with complex palliative needs, but there is often differences between how primary care (GPs) and Specialist Palliative Care understand what palliative care needs are complex and what services might best support a patient. Ĭo-ordinated and integrated, patient-centred palliative care, provided by primary and specialist palliative care within community and home settings are essential to a good death. Without reviewing and changing practices and policies, these disparities are likely to widen as the need for palliative care is increasing, especially in community-based settings. ![]() Evidence suggests that referrals to palliative care are skewed towards white cancer patients although less is known as to whether such disparities manifest in discharge practices. However, palliative care resources are not distributed equitably with inequalities of provision associated with ethnicity, diagnosis, and age. Specialist palliative care aims to provide care and support for people with complex palliative care needs. A patient-centred set of hospice-specific discharge letter principles could help improve future practice. Our study provides insights into patterns associated with those discharged from hospice, and how policy and guidance in this area may be improved, such as greater consistency of sharing letters with patients. The content and structure of discharge letters varied between hospices, although generally focused on physical needs. Focus groups conveyed a lack of consensus on what constitutes “complexity” and “complex pain”. The extent to which patients received a copy of their discharge letter varied. There was sometimes ambiguity in “who” will be following up “what” in the discharge letters, and whether described patients’ needs were resolved or ongoing for managing in the community setting. Psychological/emotional needs and social needs were documented in 46.4 and 35.6% of letters respectively. Most patients had some form of physical needs documented on the letters (98.4%) but spiritual needs were rarely documented (2.4%). The main reasons for discharge extracted from the letters were symptoms “managed/resolved” (75.2%), and/or the “patient wishes to die/for care at home” (37.2%). Twenty-five staff took part in focus groups. We sampled 250 discharge letters from five UK hospices whereby patients had been discharged to primary care. Findings were triangulated to develop an explanatory understanding of discharge communication from hospice care. Thematic analysis was used to analyse the focus group transcripts. ![]() Letters were then examined for language patterns using a linguistic methodology termed corpus linguistics. Discharge letters were extracted for key content information using a standardised form. ![]() MethodsĪn explanatory sequential mixed methods study consisting of a retrospective review of hospice discharge letters, followed by hospice focus groups, to explore patterns in communication of palliative care needs of discharged patients and describe why these patients were being discharged. ![]() Past research has indicated that communication issues are prevalent during hospital discharges, but little is known about hospice discharges. It is essential that communication is effective if and when patients transition from hospice to community palliative care. The provision of palliative care is increasing, with many people dying in community-based settings. ![]()

1/21/2024 0 Comments Larry cable guy git r done![]() ![]() “It’s just a regular stand-up show,” he says. Whitney says despite the popularity of the new movie and the proximity to the holidays, his show at the Sands won’t be Christmas-themed. “I grew up in a small town in Nebraska, where there really wasn’t any,” he says. He said it was special because he shared the stage with REO Speedwagon and Richard Marx, who were on the first rock concert he ever attended, in 1986. Whitney did find time recently to perform in a benefit show that raised $300,000 for tornado victims in Indiana. It was ridiculous, and I think we told them after the fourth episode, ‘You guys have got to air this, like, weekdays, like 8 o’clock.’ So they came back and said, ‘We’re going to pull them all, do it all over again and re-air them, and we’re going to air them at 2 o’clock in the morning on Sunday,’ ” he says with a laugh. “I think the premiere for that show was at like 9 o’clock on a Saturday night. He said it failed to generate big audiences because it had bad time slots. He says he’s not sure whether there will be another season of “Bounty Hunters,” either. And chilling out and hanging with the family.” … So now I’m back to doing what I like – I like doing this. “I’m like, ‘I cannot handle this anymore.’ So I basically just said, ‘You know what? I’m pretty much done with that. “There was just so many things I was doing,” he says. ![]() Then I was doing live shows.” Whitney also was doing voices for “Bounty Hunters,” an animated Country Music Television show based on the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. “I was also still voicing stuff for Mater, ’cause Mater’s always got cartoons, toys and games. I’d get home on Sunday night, I’d leave Monday afternoon to do it all over again. Then the other half of the time I was hosting things on Sunday. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays I was taping ‘Only in America.’ I was doing a show on a Friday and a Saturday. At the time, I had a 5- and a 6-year-old they were just starting school. I did three seasons, but I was never home. “They were going to have me doing things a 50-year-old, out-of-shape guy shouldn’t be doing. “Well, about midway through the thing, they were going to kill me,” he says. But I can always say I did it.”Īctually Whitney says he ended the show because he was overworked. … That was one of the nastiest things on the planet. That’s one of the reasons I’m not doing the show anymore. “That’s right, I did!,” he says when reminded of the episode. One episode in 2012 brought him to Bethlehem’s Musikfest to clean porta-potties. On his show, “Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy,” which ran for three years on the History channel, he explores various jobs, lifestyles and hobbies. Larry the Cable guy’s popularity has given Whitney many such opportunities. It is just the coolest thing, so that when my kids have kids and their kids have kids, I mean, they’re going to go out there and that’s going to be their great grandpa.” “But when I go out to Disneyland, take the kids up to Cars Land, just knowing that I voiced a character that now has its own billion-dollar theme park is amazing. I never thought in a million years it would have turned out to be what it turned out to be. “Now I’m like, ‘Man, that it so awesome.’ I mean, not only did I get to voice a character from Pixar, but people really like it. “When I first did it, I had no idea,” he says. Whitney says he’s not surprised by Mater’s success – ” ’cause the guy that voices it is very talented” – but concedes its popularity is amazing. He’s essentially Larry the Cable Guy toned down for children. Perhaps his biggest role aside from Larry is as Mater, the lovable tow-truck in Disney’s animated “Cars” series. In fact, Whitney is listed that way in the movie’s credits.Įven when Whitney steps away from Larry the Cable Guy, it’s not very far. Whitney plays Buddy, the foil to Perry’s Medea, and his character is essentially Larry the Cable Guy. “And I’m like, ‘Yeah, awesome.’ So he was, like, a lot of fun. I just had an epiphany – Larry the Cable Guy meets Medea,'” Whitney says. “Tyler, he called me up and he said, ‘Hey, this will be hilarious. ![]() 1/21/2024 0 Comments Fl studio latest version price![]() ![]() Interface and accessibility are great to dive into when first using, but the real reason you continued using a DAW is for the sound options available. Meaning, you often have to click some track options to open entirely new ones that give you different settings you can alter.Īside from various setting placements, FL Studio has a sleek, modern-looking interface that features relatively good-sized buttons, high contrasting colors to keep your sequence in perspective, and an accessible button layout. ![]() The main UI view does a great job at giving you overall access to all the essential features the DAW has to offer, but there is only a limited amount of space available. We did notice one or two times that features aren't easily accessible if you don't know where to look for them. New users to FL Studio may need to spend an hour getting to grips with the interface and learning what tools are at their disposal. That said, getting used to running a DAW on mobile can be unwieldy until you're used to the smaller workspace, which is especially true if you're working with a device that has a smaller screen than newer phone models. The modern, clutter-free look greatly aids ease of use as options are quick to find, and the workspace never feels overwhelming. FL Studio models a significant portion of its UI after its real-world analog counterparts, creating instantly recognizable sections. We don't suspect that the FL Studio's interface will be difficult to understand for veteran music producers, yet, newcomers may struggle initially. One of the Digital Alert Systems devices Pyle sourced from an electronics recycler earlier this year was non-functioning, but whoever discarded it neglected to wipe the hard drive embedded in the machine. If you are a local operator, you can send out nationwide alerts. “There’s no centralized control of the EAS because these devices are designed such that someone locally can issue an alert, but there’s no central control over whether I am the one person who can send or whatever. ![]() “The process for alerts is automated in most cases, hence, obtaining access to a device will allow you to pivot around,” he said. Pyle said the biggest threat to the security of the EAS is that an attacker would only need to compromise a single EAS station to send out alerts locally that can be picked up by other EAS systems and retransmitted across the nation. Pyle, in a selfie that is heavily redacted because the EAS device behind him had its user credentials printed on the lid. We will evaluate and work to issue any necessary mitigations as quickly as possible.”īut Pyle said a great many EAS stakeholders are still ignoring basic advice from the manufacturer, such as changing default passwords and placing the devices behind a firewall, not directly exposing them to the Internet, and restricting access only to trusted hosts and networks. That may be because the patches were included in version 4 of the firmware for the EAS devices, and many older models apparently do not support the new software. The EAS encoder/decoder devices Pyle acquired were made by Lyndonville, NY-based Digital Alert Systems (formerly Monroe Electronics, Inc.), which issued a security advisory this month saying it released patches in 2019 to fix the flaws reported by Pyle, but that some customers are still running outdated versions of the device’s firmware. So I decided that unless someone actually makes this public and talks about it, clearly nothing is going to be done about it.” “I went back to see if this was still a problem, and it turns out it’s still a very big problem. “I was sitting there thinking, ‘Holy shit, someone could start a civil war with this thing,”’ Pyle recalled. Pyle said he took up the research again in earnest after an angry mob stormed the U.S. I decided I wasn’t going to tell anyone about it yet because I wanted to give people time to fix it.” “I found all kinds of problems back then, and reported it to the DHS, FBI and the manufacturer,” Pyle said in an interview with KrebsOnSecurity. ![]() Pyle said he started acquiring old EAS equipment off of eBay in 2019, and that he quickly identified a number of serious security vulnerabilities in a device that is broadly used by states and localities to encode and decode EAS alert signals. It is redefined in the subclass as it does not contain any definition in the base class. What is an abstract function?Īn abstract function is a function declared only in the base class. However, it is not possible to instantiate a structure or inherit from it. How is a structure different from a class?Ī structure is a user-defined collection of variables having different data types. Inheritance allows subclasses to inherit common attributes of a vehicle and define specific attributes and methods to their own. However, child classes are a more specific type of class such as truck, bus, car, etc. The parent class is a logical concept, such as a vehicle is a base class that defines the common properties shared by all vehicles. Explain the concept of inheritance with a real-life example. Next up, we will cover some advanced OOPsinterview questions! 1. It is used as a pointer that differentiates between the global object and the current object by referring to the current one. To refer to the current object of a class, this keyword is used. This is an example of data abstraction as the implementation details are concealed from the driver. However, you do not know precisely how it happens. While driving a car, you know that on pressing the accelerator, the speed will increase. One of the key OOPs interview questions could be to give a real-life example of data abstraction. ![]() It is possible to call the base class without instantiation if it’s a static method and some other subclass has inherited the base class.ĩ. How can you call a base class method without creating an instance? The features like function default arguments, overloading, and templates in C++ support compile-time polymorphism. When a polymorphic call is made, and the compiler knows which function is to be called this is known as compile-time polymorphism. It invokes the overridden method that allows access to these methods and the superclass’s hidden members. The super keyword keyword is used to forward a constructor’s call to a constructor in the superclass. Define protected access modifier.Ī protected access modifier is accessible by own class and accessible by derived class but not accessible by the world. Whereas, Overriding is an OOPs concept that allows sub-classes to have a specific implementation of a method already provided by its parent class. Overloading is two or more methods having the same name but different parameters. What is the difference between overloading and overriding? Protected and private members in C++ are examples. The notion of data hiding is referred to as encapsulation. ![]() 1/20/2024 0 Comments Moneygram receipts![]() ![]() (between the river and the fountain square) (Working hours: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., money transfers can be immediate) ![]() Lane Xang Ave.Ban Hatsady, Chanthabouly District ![]() Assistance cannot be provided to pay existing debts. again until they repay the full amount of their loan.
